Why This Resource Exists
Virginia provides several public routes to custody and court information, but a released person does not remain in one universal index. Northern Neck Regional Jail maintains local custody and movement records. The Virginia Department of Corrections operates the state inmate and supervisee locator, while VADOC District 33 handles much of the state community supervision in this area. Court records may explain bond, dismissal, sentencing, or transfer, and the federal BOP locator covers a different custody system. Richmond County Released Inmates organizes those official release-record, offender-search, supervision, and request paths without claiming to replace their custodians.
Information Collected Here
The site is arranged around the questions that arise after a name leaves a live roster. Its pages provide:
- A full released-person search and records path, plus focused help with projected release dates, VINELink checks, and parole and probation.
- Separate pages for Northern Neck Regional Jail, Haynesville Correctional Center, and the closed Haynesville Correctional Unit #17.
- Plain steps for checking the current NNRJ roster and the statewide VADOC inmate and supervisee locator.
- Instructions for requesting a jail movement record or booking photograph, including the published response framework.
